Muscle trigger points in my temporalis muscle pull my jaws out of alignment, cause tenderness, headaches, tmj clicking and other typical TMD symptoms. Whenever I manage to completely relax my face and temporalis muscle (which works best when lying flat on my back and takes up to an hour and lots of focus), the tension lessens and my jaws start aligning again which also reduces/gets rid of the clicking when opening my mouth. The disk appears to move into its proper position again.

Question: What are effective, free and quick ways to get rid of these muscle trigger points for good?

Take the Relaxin- Pill
Would rather not but muscle relaxants in general might help. I need to release the trigger points though and prevent them from reoccuring.
