Saw a vid claiming fasting can spike growth hormone and under it muslims were like "wE hAVe rAmADan". It's such a retarded cope cus at 3am they eat as much as they can before the fasting begans also they can't drink water too and after the fast ends they eat like pigs. This is why a lot of end up gaining weight by the end of the month. Not to mention it fucks up the sleep schedule, if anything it's detrimental to the body.

Whilst during intermediate fasting you're allowed to drink water and stay hydrated, and your sleeping hours are included. Basically you'll just have to skip the breakfast.

To all muslims living under the delusion that Ramadan is spiking up their HGH levels, it's a fucking cope if anything it's harming your body.

All types of fasting is starvation whether ramadan or intermediate fasting

Don't fast

Ramadan is looksmax if you want muslim girl
It puts you in way more priority than anything else if she’s muslim
Fasting is trash but works for niche cases

It's definitely not ideal especially in your developmental years

Hinduism is too diverse to make fun of, mostly just Indian stuff mixed with polytheist insults. It pisses me off so bad

True, it's just hard to argue with a Hindu with more than 75 IQ because he constantly pulls "Those are the bad Hindus me is good Hindu"

fasting is useless for gh because igf-1 secretion goes down when you're fasted. im so done with this "fasting gh increase = more height!!" regurgitated topic (normies actually believe this,) there are other good reasons to intermittent fast other than for some miniscule gh increase like insulin sensitivity and liver parameters

Under free-living conditions, eTRF improves whole-body insulin sensitivity and increases skeletal muscle glucose and BCAA uptake. The metabolic benefits of eTRF are independent of its effects on weight loss and represent chronic adaptations rather than the effect of the last bout of overnight fast
Overall, IF effectively decreased liver fat with a large effect size [SMD: -1.22 (95% CI: -1.63 to -0.80), p = 0.001], liver steatosis with a medium effect size [SMD: -0.73 (95% CI: -1.12 to -0.35), p = 0.001], ALT with a small effect size [SMD: -0.44 (95% CI: -0.58 to -0.30), p = 0.001], and AST with a small effect size [SMD: -0.30 (95% CI: -0.49 to -0.11), p = 0.001], but not liver fibrosis [SMD: -0.28 (95% CI: -0.59 to 0.02), p = 0.07]. Subgroup analyses showed that IF decreased liver fat and ALT significantly, independent of IF mode, participant age, health status, weight status, and intervention duration. IF significantly decreased liver fibrosis in those with obesity;

also what's with the idea that everyone ends up gaining weight in ramadan, not even a single study shows this at worst they maintain their baseline bodyweight

Type 2 diabetic patients who performed Ramadan fasting displayed a lowering of HbA1c, LDL, TC, and TG, and increased HDL, but had small positive effects on body weight, BMI, as well as SBP and DBP. More studies are needed with a larger population in the future to assess the potential of Ramadan fasting as a therapeutic strategy for managing Type 2 diabetes.
At baseline, BMI, rates of liver steatosis and distribution of normal weight, overweight, and obese subjects were comparable between the two groups. Body weight significantly decreased at the end of fasting in both RIF (-4.2 % vs baseline, P = 0.002) and 16IF (-2.1 % vs baseline, P = 0.002). Waist and abdominal circumferences significantly decreased only in RIF as well as the amount of body fat. In subjects with liver steatosis, SAT and VAT significantly decreased following RIF, but not 16h-IF, as well as the ultrasonographic HRI.
We recruited 146 participants (Mean ± SD age = 43.3 ± 15 years). Immediately after Ramadan, compared with before Ramadan, the mean difference was−1.6 kg (P<0.01) in weight,−1.95cm (P<0.01) in WC,−2.86cm (P <0.01) in HC, −0.60 kg/m2 (P < 0.01) in BMI and −1.24 kg (P < 0.01) in FM. In the systematic review and meta-analysis, after screening 2,150 titles and abstracts, 66 studies comprising 7,611 participants were included. In the general population, RIF was followed by a reduction of 1.12 Kg in body weight (−1.89– −0.36, I2 = 0), 0.74 kg/m2 reduction in BMI (−0.96– −0.53, I2 = 0), 1.54cm reduction in WC (−2.37– −0.71, I2 = 0) and 1.76cm reduction in HC (−2.69– −0.83, I2 = 0). The effect of fasting on anthropometric and body composition parameters starts to manifest in the second week of Ramadan and starts to diminish 3 weeks after Ramadan
There was a significant positive correlation between starting body mass index and weight lost during the fasting period. Consistently, there was a significant reduction in fat percentage between pre-Ramadan and post-Ramadan in people with overweight or obesity (−1.46 (95% confidence interval: −2.57 to −0.35) %, p = 0.010), but not in those of normal weight (−0.41 (−1.45 to 0.63) %, p = 0.436).

Im not suggesting Ramadan has benefits but rather it doesn't have any concrete negatives

Age was significantly associated with weight change (p = 0.005), with participants aged 35-44 demonstrating the highest weight loss (60.0%). Physical activity also significantly influenced weight change (p < 0.001); participants with decreased physical activity had the highest weight gain (21.1%), while those with increased physical activity reported a higher weight loss (52.3%). Snacking frequency between Iftar and Suhoor significantly impacted weight changes (p < 0.001)

Respondents who consumed more fat during this month were almost two times more likely to gain weight than those who did not change their intake or ate less fat

No way people with decreased physical activity and higher dietary fat intake had more weight gain!!! this definitely has nothing to do with diet and lifestyle and more with ramadan (also completely ignore that more than 80% of the people either had weight loss or remained at their baseline)
