In this post I will detail the hair loss transformation I’ve made since starting to treat male pattern baldness. I haven’t got any type of medical procedure (like a hair transplant), my hair loss transformation is solely due to medication and me using various compounds like RU58841. Btw If you are experiencing hair loss and if you're interested in learning how to keep it go check my comprehensive hair loss guide.

1. Before Starting Treatment

This is what my hair looked like at 21 (almost 22) years old.

2. One Year After Starting Finasteride

As you will see on the following pictures my hair started looking way better after starting treatment with finasteride but there was still a fair amount of diffuse thinning on my crown area and my hairline still looked a bit thinned out in some angles and lighting conditions.

3. 6 Months after Switching to RU58841

I stopped taking finasteride and switched to RU58841 (5% PG solution) applied once a day.
On the following pictures you will see that my hair finally looks “good”. It doesn’t look perfect, I still have a bit of a receding hairline and there is still a tiny bit of diffuse thinning going on in my crown area, but It got to the point where 99% of people will not even guess that I have male pattern baldness. Also I am now almost 25 years old in these pictures, so having a bit of hairline recession looks way more “normal”.

The purpose of these pictures was to actually reveal my progression of hair loss, and to show the improvements. Also I am now at a point were there is not that much to "hide". I don't care if people are able to tell that I have slightly receding corners.

Thx, I'm glad you like it. There are some experiments I plan on doing by the way. There is going to be even more "unique and unheard of" content on my site.

it doesn't suit your face particularly well either, there's no reason for you to have your hair like this in general, you'd be better off with medium-ish hair because your head is quite blocky and it would make it look slimmer.

but the progress is good.

Yeah, I would suggest something that looks denser. Medium-long hair would suit.

Will keep an eye out bro. Glad to hear.

I actually tried what you suggested, but I have fine hair and because of that, medium-to long hairstyle requires a decent amount of hair styling. Also you have to keep in mind that in order to keep my hair I have to rub RU58841 in my hair once every day, and applying it when you have longer hair can really become a pain in the ass. I would rather keep my hair a bit shorter "not look as good as I could" but still having it look decent and not have to worry about all of that, if that makes sense.

It really is. Most of these treatments have a very low occurrence of side effects and are shown to be both very safe and effective. I can tell you from experience, that most guys would feel so much better about themselves by stopping hair loss and keeping a full head of hair.

Makes sense bro.

I have similar density ie fine hair 1c - 2a.

When I was younger, I had a fuller head.

Stress at uni and work took some density off (poofy head) but I regained a lot of the density through diet and getting back in shape.

I also got on Fin a while back 2 years ago for 6 mos. Stopped taking it once my hair fall stabilized.

I'm thinking of getting back on it.

Did you have any sexual sides? I had watery semen at the start with low EQ which went away within 2 mos.

By the way, what I do is apply a hair mask from Wella Professionals each week and apply a lil bi 4-5 drops of mineral oil from Vaseline on damp hair to lock moisture in throughout the day and avoid that poofy look. (Only Mineral oil locks moisture not vegetable or seed oils)

In any case, good job. And I would suggest growing out the sides for a more modern look with a medium length all over just like you have at the top so that you won't have any issues with the application but just a better hairstyle for your face overall IMO.

Have you tried the Jude Law sort of blonde or darkest brown? Play around. Even tho the color on the last pic slaps.

The Senior Stylist at Tony & Guy recommended not to use conditioner on fine hair and to use hair masks.

Is it possible for every man to reach 45 with full head of hair?

When starting Finasteride, I noticed that I had higher libido (I naturally have high libido) for a week or so and it got back to normal after that. My bro science theory (backed by absolutely nothing) is that because of me naturally having higher DHT levels compared to most people (because of my aggressive predisposition to hair loss) inhibiting DHT initially caused a noticeable spike in testosterone (because less of it converts to DHT) which resulted in a noticeable increase in estrogen which could have lead to me feeling hornier at the start.

My cum did get a bit more watery though (but was still ok, it was not like I was shooting blanks or anything). This went back to normal like one week after stopping finasteride.

I tried dying my hair out a few times, and I know what color you're talking about when you say "Jude Law sorta blond" and I agree that It would look good, but tbh I'm too lazy to dye my hair again.

The color in my last pic is my natural color by the way.

Theoretically speaking it is if using topical anti androgens like RU58841 or pyrilutamide . If you really want to have an in depth understanding about male pattern baldness, I strongly recommend checking my guide on hair loss. It is the most comprehensive, no BS approach guide to understand how MPB works and how to stop it and reverse it.

Haha yeah, there's the theory of less test converting to DHT hence more free T, hence hornier, in the MPMD circles as well as Kevin Mann. I had the same experience as well hahaha

I had puffy nips as we tbh but I’m predisposed from pubertal gyno (super minor).

I might get back on Fin tbh...

Take care, bro. Good luck and congrats on being smart and low inhib enough to monetize your journey while helping people at the same time. See you around...

Have you thought about switching to Dutasteride and low dose oral minox ? You might handle duta perfectly fine since you didnt get much sides from finasteride

I'm using various SARMs on and off and 5ar inhibitors do not protect against them. Also oral minoxidil can be very dangerous (for a minority of people it can even cause life threatening conditions). And in France doctors are "pussies" and they would not prescribe me dutasteride when I asked them (they only accepted to prescribe me finasteride) and even that can be a battle, as most dermatologists in France would just want to prescribe you minoxidil, which does absolutely nothing to stop hair loss.

Lifefuel.

Edit:

Is it also possible to reverse the hairloss fully back to NW0?

Do you mean without hair transplants ?
Because if so, it is very unlikely to go back to a Norwood 0 unless you caught MPB at the supper early stages where it was barely starting to be visible. In my personal case, NW2 with close to baseline hair density is as good as it can get when talking about medication therapy. But it's good enough for me.

Do RU and Fin do the same thing?
If I just need one I would prefer to do RU, is there a RU spray I can use and just use that at night?

They do not do the same thing.

Finasteride is a Type 2 enzyme 5 alpha reductase inhibitor and prevents the conversion from testosterone to DHT in scalp tissue. It also reduce blood serum concentration of DHT by about 60%. Finasteride does nothing to prevent other androgens like testosterone to bind to the Androgen Receptor at the hair follicle site, but that is fine for most people because Testosterone binding to the AR is way less of an issue, but will still exert some androgen activity that might still lead to some hairloss at some point albeit at a way reduced pace.

RU58841 is a topical anti androgen that has a high affinity for the AR and exerts little to no androgenicity. What it means is that it basically binds to the AR and basically does nothing, but prevents other more androgenic molecules like DHT or testosterone to bind. If you want to know how to use RU58841, at what frequency and dosage, and where to buy pre-made topical solutions, check my in detail guide about RU58841.

Will check it out, thank you
For a 20 year old guy who hasn’t started balding yet but has slight thinning at the temples and doesn’t have the highest sex drive / best erections what would you recomend?
A topical RU spray at night only?
On the hairline only or all over the hair?

I personally apply it once daily at night just before going to bed. I apply it on every area affected by MPB, which is pretty much all the hair I have on top of my head including my hairline. If you are in the early stages chances are that if you start treating it you will keep your hair forever (if you do not discontinue treatment). Also I suggest considering finasteride, which is wayy more convenient to use, because you just have to take a pill once a day or every other day and in most cases you get to keep your hair for at least decades.

In regards to your erections problems, they will not be impacted by either these treatments, except with finasteride there could be a bit of a fluctuation in your libido for a few weeks before getting back to normal (while continuing treatment), unless you're part of the 2% of people that experience persistent side effects (but you just have to stop the treatment and it goes back to normal).

Also if you have sex drive/ erections issues at 20 it sounds concerning. Consider checking your T levels. Also if you're overweight try getting down to a somewhat of a low body fat % and see if your libido improves. Also watch less porn and go hit on chicks that increases libido too.

You look good man
