No, it’s not just the lighting. Yes, the after pic might have slightly better lighting but it's mostly due to me being tan in the summer versus being pale now. Here’s how I did it:

Better Sleep
Fixing your sleep schedule is huge. Poor sleep lets fluid build up under the eyes, making them look swollen and rounded. Even minor inflammation makes the upper eyelid heavier and less sharp. Tired eyes = relaxed muscles, so everything droops slightly. I'd suggest 7-9 hours of sleep a day, but the best is 9 hours. If you sleep for 6 or under your skin looks dull brain fog, slower reactions, and more stress follow. Hormones get messed up = more cravings, slower muscle and skin repair. Sleeping more then 10 hours ruins your circadian rhythm and makes you lazy asf.

Sun Gazing
Many people say it doesn’t work, but from my experience it does like for example my eyes got a lot more bright and defined. Don’t stare directly at the sun, look slightly to the side for 10–15 minutes, depending on tolerance, and stop when your vision starts to blur. Do 3 reps of this. In populations exposed to strong sunlight, natural epicanthic folds or hooding protect the eyes. Repeated light exposure can mimic this on a minor scale. Plus, sunlight constricts the pupils, making the iris appear more vibrant and defined.

Eyelid change looks like just squinting, I doubt it could change that much with just sleep
You were lucky that your 'before' already had good hooding, basically no one can have a significant change in where eyebrows are set from sleeping
