Back when I was 16 I did 60mg of accutane for 8 months, below I will post results of before/after.
I took isotretinoin (accutane) throughout puberty, so my facial structure also has developed. However, cystic acne inflammation and bloating in my face alongside the spots significantly improved.
BEFORE:
3/4 MONTHS AFTER
1 YEAR AFTER:
After I finished accutane my acne came back less severe after 7/8 months.
This was because I had a bad diet, alcoholmaxxed (ultimate evil), terrible sleep and bad skincare routine.
I have also undergone 3 fractional laser therapies, 1 micro-needle session, and also do red + blue light therapy alongside peptides (ghkcu, kpv + glutathione) to maintain a healthy skin barrier, stable collagen production and also keep a healthy gut.
My diet has also significantly proved and I currently consume mainly a lion diet, with the odd cheat meal, I also do not drink alcohol anymore which has been a big factor in keeping my face free of redness, inflammation and bloating.
My advice is do accutane if you really want to improve your skin and suffer with new spots daily/weekly, but do research first and consult with a professional.
Acne was one of my biggest setbacks in regards to my confidence and accutane helped boost my self-confidence, if you feel you suffer with the same thing such as self-confidence, accutane is right for you.
In regards to side effects, the only noticeable sides I had were extremely dry eyes, lips, hair and skin. Apart from that I had no major effects apart from the rare mood swing (difficult to control emotions).
