No matter what you do in life, whether it's the way you act, dress, look, etc. There will always be people who will hate on you, mock you, try to put you down. And I know more than anyone how difficult it is when society is against you, all the normies are laughing at you where ever you go.
But ultimately you have to live life on your own terms. You cannot just do things to please others or try to do things just so others won't pick you out because you're different. This plays into the whole non-NT thing as well.
Let them laugh, dress how you want to, look how you want to. Others do not matter, their opinion means nothing.

I can safely say any person who is a decent human being and worthy of you wanting their respect or for them to think highly of you is not going to hate or mock you. It's always the normies/scum who will mock you.
It's kind of like some NEET working a low skilled job and some retard comes in and laughs at him because he deems himself superior and then you find out he doesn't even have a job, that fancy car he's driving is the result of illicit activities aka fraud/illegal/immoral things. Yet that individual thinks himself your superior but he is not. He is a lowlife who has no moral standing, he is scum and even the toilet cleaners working to provide for their family are as high as Mount everest compared to him.

The truth is most people are a bunch of hateful spiteful cunts and truly you should not worry about what they might think if you do this or that. People will always mock or hate you, keep doing what You want to do regardless of others and their actions.

Tldr: There are a lot of hateful piece of shit people in this world, don't let them get you down, keep doing what you want to do and getting better.

I wish I was given such an opportunity in my early teenage years to be myself and dress how I wanted but my own mother did not and still does not believe in such a thing. Instead I was forced to wear what she wanted me to wear, cut my hair the way she wanted it to be cut, listen to everything she asked of me like I was some kind of slave and I actually went along with it.

My biggest regret is not doing what I wanted to do anyway. It would have helped me develop some sense of true self. Become somebody with a solid identity that isn't fragmented and constantly unidentifiable.

I still have a little bit of time left to try and form a solid identity and become somebody that I can say is truly me. And I will never ask my mother for permission again. Instead I will ask for forgiveness and if she doesn't forgive me then so be it.

15-20 = very young and can do anything with your life
20 - 25 = young and still a lot of doors open
25 - 27 = relatively young
28 and above is where things start getting kinda shit.

lifefuel

Turn 18 and a month and it feels like it's over for me...no plans or anything yet. Something about being officially an adult makes it feel worse and I've been stressing a lot over it recently. I'm probably just retarded though.

Your life hasn't even started yet

I agree with everything you have said. But the problem with me and most people on this forum are not even knowing all this stuff. It is "behaving" as its the truth or in other words being ballsy and not thinking twice. But a lot of us just fail at behaving part because of shitty genetics and upbringing. And even if you force yourself to do that it just becomes exhausting especially after you realize no nonchalant or careless person has to act this way because they just are and you just arent.

I agree with you, I never said it was easy. We are abused dogs and no matter how much we try to act as if others opinion or actions don't bother us, it clearly does. Our upbringing and genetics is to blame as well ofc like you said. These days I see someone hating and I don't give them even a 2nd look, literally not even worry looking at some retard who wants to get a reaction out of me or is laughing at me. I would say you get used to it but we are humans and social creatures, we aren't genetically allowed to get used to such things, it will always affect you on some level. That's life, most people suck.

But what if someone flaunts and taunts but isn't actually secretly a loser? What then? Sounds like cope..
