My autism failos me so badly in social interaction

I always look ugly when I speak my jaw always opens in a weird way

and sometimes my voice makes me sound like a fucking kid it’s so brutal

but noticing these things is what’s helping me improve my social skills

I’m not sure about my first diagnosis entirely but
I got rediagnosed in 2017 and a doctor pointed out that I was masking (when an autist pretends to be nt)

I’m not an autist but I can’t hold a one on one conversation with someone for more than maybe 2 minutes without it getting awkward. I honestly have no fucking idea what to talk about. Although there was a guy who I talked politics and shit with irl so more than 2 minutes, but it still got weird if it goes on for too long. That’s why I always prefer groups, it makes my lacking social abilities stand out less.

Me too I feel the same way. I just can’t talk about what normies do they just talk about normie shit

I never had many problems interacting with them but even then I never could relate cause all they ever talked about was sports or music it was so boring

Ya, my voice sounds like a kid too, that's how anyone can know if being non-NT is their problem, how they speak.

I don't know if I've ever seen it mentioned on this forum but autism = developmental delay = very high degree of neotony. Autistic people look and sound way younger than they really are.
