Feel like I may be better adjusted now if I had experienced high school romance like a normal person tbh.
Examples:
A girl randomly wanted to "compare hands" with me and then interlocked her fingers after a couple of seconds of touching, some other guy walked past and mocked her "ooooo, Becky likes Edouard" before she pulls away and quickly walks off. I legit just thought she was curious and was self conscious about my hand size for a couple days.
Another girl jokingly mocked me for not having a middle name when she saw my school ID, made one up and used pen to add it to my ID card. Then took my notebook and wrote "I heart themiddlename". Was honestly just annoyed my shit got vandalised.
Another girl called me cute to her friend within earshot, another one said I was cute to my friends. I'm not even sure how I rationalised these ones away.
Another was sat next to me during a class photo, I didn't pay attention to what the photographer was saying so the this girl literally just grabbing me to fix my head tilt, hair, leg position. Thought she was just annoyed and wanted to get on with the photo being taken.
Another girl pins my arms against the lockers and leans in laughing before pouting her lips. I become super anxious and literally squirm and duck under her arms to get away.
These are just the ones I remember, its been a few years since then.
