In order to cope with our mortality there's no wonder we'd create religion. An entity that gives us a higher purpose beyond our own universe is life fuel to our problem solving brains. I would like to believe there's an afterlife but all signs indicate that there isn't.
Without religion there is no higher purpose that exists. Everything is arbitrary and self contained. Much like getting currency in a video game in order to get more currency in said video game. You live for a short period of time and then die, what you do in the years you're alive has no lasting consequence even within our universe. So just LDAR then? Well thats even more pointless, so you might as well just do something, creating your own meaning isn't such a bad way to cope. But it's just that, a cope.
Would be even more depressing if true
The reason lookism isn't more widely discussed is because of basic human flaws it's difficult for most people to percieve it. Most sympathize with physically disabled people and accomodate them because they can directly see the hardships they go through compared to a normal person. But there is really no way to see the full breadth of the halo effect good looks have on your life, unless you personally ascend, and since people usually stay the same looks level throughout most of their life they never experience it. Always staying at their baseline level. And because of that their daily experience (based on looks) is just life to them. A subhuman will assume social life is generally this awful and a mogger will assume it's usually this great. The reason lookism has any following at all is because of online dating which has allowed us to at least observe the differences in experience. But for most people that's still not enough, and they would truly need to ascend personally in order to fully realize it, last summer I lost all my acne, got a tan, lost 20 pounds and had a six pack, all within 3 months, and the difference was night and day. And because of our human limitations in communicating experiences lookism will never be widely known as long as most people don't ascend or descend in a short period of time.
Not as large of an issue as lookism, with racism and lookism often overlapping. Personally I do hold the belief everyone is more or less as worthless as each other
No Country For Old Men
Most governments are pretty similar to how we perceive them, no global government exists however there is a lot of diplomacy and under the table dealings that go on under the radar.
Everything will stay the same for the most part, computing will continue to be a large part of our lives and automation will slowly grow but it won't affect the job market for quite a long time. Affects of global warming won't be as pronounced as people think. I do believe however that nuclear weapons will be used in some capacity within our lifetime. Whether a terrorist attack, Pakistan and India or some other scenario. Modern history will be largely perceived as having a time before and after such an attack. As for incels things, someone on lookism.net will go ER in 2023 and shut down all remaining forums with a mass amount of regulations on hate speech and such put in place on the internet. Male virginity rates will continue to rise for the foreseeable future
