Tonight, I woke up with a throbbing headache at 8:20 PM after going to sleep at 2:30 PM (I briefly woke up once at 6 PM). At 8:21 PM, the doorbell rang, and we had some company. I wasn’t expecting any.
I decided to get out of bed at 8:40 PM because I had just woken up and didn’t want to leave the bed right away.
My brother’s father-in-law came to visit us, to introduce his new wife to us, and my brother and his wife were there as well. My brother’s FIL is a 6’3” heightmogger btw.
Upon entering the living room, I greeted my brother’s wife first, and then her father, and finally his new wife considering she’s new here in the country.
They stayed for 30-40 minutes by the time I arrived because they had to travel back to their city (they live elsewhere and it takes around an hour to get there).
Before leaving, my brother’s FIL says “I really enjoyed talking to you. Kids these days are constantly on their phones, even when guests are there, barely paying attention to them. I like that you were actually having a conversation, it was refreshing to see. I really enjoyed talking to you.”
I said “Thank you” and agreed with him (about people behind glued to their phones). Then they departed and I said goodbye to his new wife as well.
