My dad is on a break and came back to visit me and my mom in our house. He had gone to Japan for a week for some meetings and brought back a bunch of stuff for me. I’d asked him to pick up a pair of Japanese denim, something I’ve always wanted to try after hearing so much about their quality and he did. Haven't worn it but it does look very good.
He also surprised me with a techwear hoodie full of tactical zips, velcro straps, that cyberpunk aesthetic Not really my style tbh. He got a few Uniqlo x anime T-shirts which I’ll probably wear sometimes
Also Japan only KitKats like matcha kitkat etc, instant noodles, some stuff he instant ramen stuff he bought from some vending machine that I'm now having for lunch and other sweets I’ve never seen before He even brought a beautiful Japanese tea set also high grade matcha but I barely taste the difference when I have it with milk and a kimono style bath robe which I really liked.
what suprised me the most was this humble fan. I always thought all these were flimsy tourist trinkets but these are surprisingly well made. Im not sure if it shows in pics but it is very sturdy, the graphics are hand painted and you can instantly tell there’s craftsmanship behind it. Even i want to visit Japan one day but I've never had the opportunity so far
