i grew up listening to film scores and watching movies like fantasia. it's probably true if you have parents that don't have normshit taste, you are going to be exposed to higher level music. although throughout this time i was still absorbing pop music from the 70s and 80s from the environment. i am able to memorize music precisely and accurately so i just needed to identify these pieces once youtube came about and i could look them up using the lyrics. i didn't actively listen to normshit music until in my early 20s. by the mid 2000s i was listening to lady gaga and top 40 charts. i stopped listening to music when 99% of it became rap and nigger moaning
