50,4% Balkan, from serbia, kroatia and Bosnia.
36,4% Greek and Albanian. More specificly, Albanian from Bosnia, Albanian from Serbia, Albanian from North macedonia, And Albanian from albania. Also just pure greek. Oh and also albanian from istanbul.
11% eastern european, so that means, ukraine, poland, czech republic, lithuania.
1,8% baltic, so estonia latvia and lithuania.

yea alot of different ethnicities, Im very white and have blue eyes which explains the dominance of bosnian. My parents are born in bosnia aswell. didnt think there was gonna be this much albania but it also makes sense since im muslim. I think the albania thing is mostly because alot of albanians lived around bosnia and serbia which is where im from. Also very cool to be such a big part greek. Still pretty cool to see something like this, Proud to be aryan bosniak always. What do yall think? anyone got a slightly matching dna result?

Youre not necessarily Albanian, for all I know it could be zero. Dna websites put greek and Albanian as one

i dont wanna show my face, and tbh i dont have anything to prove. thanks for your imput, but im really sure im white. maybe not ´´aryan´´ because i do have brown hair even though its light. but i dont have any other features than european, like not even remotely close

what ethnicities are usually ´´aryan´´
well obviously north europeans, the more north the better but obviously lighter colouring can be found in southern Europe aswell its just that's its quite rare there

they dont have european features, but i do boyo. thats what separates me and them boyo
There's no such thing as "European features". There are WESTERN EURASIANS and WESTERN EURASIANS THROUGHOUT WESTERN EURASIA overlap with NUANCES BETWEEN THEM.

Aryans are Indo-Iranians/Indo-Aryans. Aryan means IRANIAN and vice versa NOT fucking Germans.

Commercial DNA tests are NOT sufficient. They don't use enough SNPs. They use vague reference populations. They often go against well established research (Spaniards on average have close to 10% North African DNA but commercial tests can show 0% which is a clear error).

Ur right, my moms side arent as light, they have brown eyes and dark brown hair, my dads side is completely white tho, like everyone has blue eyes, i live in sweden and both me AND the rest of my fam have been mistaken for being swedish 1000times😂 but yes its quite rare, especially in serbia and albania

Where should i get my dna test then?

Must be easy to tan

Must be easy to tan
Nope.

I asked ChatGPT if skin colour differences between "Northern Europeans" and "Southern Europeans" are due to sun exposure:

Short answer: **No — it’s *not* solely due to sun exposure.**
It’s a mix of **genetics**, **evolutionary history**, and **environmental factors**.

Here’s a clear breakdown:

## ✅ 1. **Genetic differences play a major role**

Southern Europeans (e.g., Italians, Greeks, Spaniards, Portuguese) generally have **higher frequencies of genes associated with higher baseline melanin**. These variants are inherited, not just the result of current sun exposure.

Some well-studied pigmentation-related genes include:

* **MC1R**
* **SLC24A5**
* **SLC45A2**
* **TYRP1**

These genes influence how much melanin your skin produces and how it responds to UV radiation. Populations in southern Europe simply have **different allele frequencies** than northern Europeans — a product of long-term evolutionary pressures and population mixing.

## ✅ 2. **Historical UV exposure shaped genetic evolution**

Over thousands of years:

* Southern Europe has **stronger UV radiation**, selecting for **more melanin** to protect against DNA damage and folate degradation.
* Northern Europe has **much lower UV levels**, selecting for **lighter skin** to improve vitamin D synthesis.

So while today’s sun exposure matters (you tan more if you live in the south), the baseline skin tone is mostly an **evolved genetic adaptation to ancestral environments**.

## ✅ 3. **Population history & mixing**

Southern Europe has historically had more genetic input from:

* North Africa
* The Near East
* Anatolia
* The Mediterranean basin

These regions generally have darker skin on average, contributing to the genetic diversity seen in southern Europeans today.

Northern Europe had different migration histories, resulting in lighter pigmentation on average.

## ✅ 4. **Tanning vs baseline pigmentation**

Even if a northern European and a southern European lived in identical low-sun conditions, you’d still see:

* Southern Europeans → generally **darker baseline skin**, even without tanning
* Northern Europeans → generally **lighter baseline skin**

So the difference isn’t just “they get more sun.”
**Sun exposure changes *temporary* skin color (tanning), not the inherited baseline.**

---

## ⭐ Summary

**Southern Europeans have darker skin because of inherited genetic differences shaped by long-term evolutionary adaptation to higher UV environments — not just because they spend more time in the sun.**
