The first dose was 75mg and I felt the lowest inhibition on that dose for one reason and it was because of dizziness and brain fog. So my brain was focused on the side effect so much that I felt less inhibition.
When it settled and I got used to the dose, anxiety started to reappear.
So what it does is you manage anxiety better on it, it doesn’t make anxiety go away completely but you can handle it better. You can concentrate on things with a laser focus. So much so that you live in the moment so much that you forget everything you did 30 seconds ago. You still can remember it but the present is so present that you dont think about stuff obsessively anymore but this fluctuates, sometimes you feel more of that and sometimes less.
It helped with overthinking like magic. If you worry about people looking at you in public, you can handle it way better, it doesn’t bother you anymore and if it sometimes still does, you dont overthink it. You feel anxiety is here, it doesn’t feel good to walk here, people are looking, but now on pregabalin you can still focus on whats in front of you, your way, the buildings you see and so on. Its like you have more of a laser focus on whats in front of you even if things bother you. This makes you more confident because you realize you can actually handle your anxiety.
You can still have days where you feel overwhelmed by it but you settle way quicker than before.
I take 300mg daily prescribed by my psychiatrist.
So far my tolerance is fine, I still feel the effects and I don’t need to increase the dose BUT I would like to. When you first take it, or up the dose then you can feel drowsy but it settles and in my case I dont feel anything anymore except that im doing way better in social situations. Anxiety is still present, but I react better to it, im not as triggered anymore, I can live in the now and I dont worry as much anymore. Also pregab is calmin down your nerve signaling and I feel that in different areas of my life. Lets say after taking a shower I usually felt cold when stepping outside the shower but now I dont feel it anymore, I realize its cold but it doesn’t bother me anymore. strange but cool.
I took a deep dive into the addiction part of pregab and all sources confirmed that doses for anxiety are completely fine and the reason why it has a bad name is because some people use 2k-8k MG,s to get high and obviously doses like that can become dangerous and on top of that people mix it with other drugs and in some individuals it led to death. For anxiety you take from 75mg to 600mg daily so its not a one time high. It should be completely save and I trust my psychiatrist and professionals over horror stories you find online. Also Lyrica is very present in the withdrawal community so basically a lot of addicts who get off Heroin take it so they dont have withdrawal symptoms. So you get the idea why reported death are in connection with Lyrica.
