My First Trance Set – A Sonic Timeline of My Life
Hey bros,
Just wanted to share something personal. I finally made my first trance set. I’m a total noob at mixing—did it all in VirtualDJ with no physical gear, no real EQ work, just crossfading and ears. But I needed to do this. Not for clout. Not to impress. Just because it was the only way I could process what’s been going on.
The set is called "Memories from the Coastline"—each track represents a piece of my story. From childhood nostalgia, to losing direction, to finding temporary peace in music. It’s split in two CDs: the first captures a dreamlike youth, the second a more intense emotional climb with pain, loneliness, and the desperate need to hold onto something.
I know it’s far from perfect, but I put my soul into it. No Chad skills, no pro setup, just a guy who’s been through it, trying to make sense of life with melodies and BPMs. If you ever sat alone with headphones on, wishing for escape—this is for you.
Let me know if you feel anything. Or not. Either way, thanks for reading.
