he’s a really kind innocent kid and I love him as a friend so much, but recently he’s been having a lot of trouble with looks. He’s not too fat of a kid or even that bad looking, but he’s very short and falls into the Heightpill. There’s this girl he really likes and she doesn’t even think of him as an option. He knows about “bp edits” like the new gen ones, just where they make fun of deformed people, but he doesn’t know what any of the terms are, he’s just seen the edits as normal edits. He texted me “I lwk js want someone to like me bro” those were his exact words when I realized he’s actually falling into the pill, and his crush keeps leaving him on opened/delivered and never snapping him full faces which is not working. His crush is way taller than him, also a hypergamous girl, who would never pick my 5ft friend.

What can I do to help him I’ve tried reassuring him and just saying stuff to not make him sad but he’s extremely insecure and I don’t know what to do

You’d be doing him harm by not allowing reality to hit, just guide him into viewing reality without going into the suicidal phase some people experience
