Many technical and non-technical people prefer being shown data on Microsoft excel and have their data analyzed and visualized through Microsoft office tools than some sophisticated advanced machine learning/ data pre processing/data visualizers. My friend wanted to become a data analyst and grinded hard for months learning math, advanced ML, Big data algorithms. Pytgon, R libraries. solving complex problems only to end up making pivot tables and VLOOKUPs in Excel for stakeholders who just want a color-coded bar chart. He spends half his time fixing formatting issues in CSV files.
