i use 0.5 mg dut and 5% topical min. standard day 1 prescription pretty much. my sister also gave me this weird tree oil topical biotin thing. gives me forehead hairs but its helping i hope.

honestly if fin isnt working and you've tried it long enough i would maybe even up the dose on dut. but also i think the combo with minox is so strong if you have the financial means to do so.

im not an expert tho and be careful with side effects im just lucky i dont react much to it.

defo start small on dut ad work your way up

Yeah I'm on minox aswell at the moment.

I started diffuse thinning when I was 13, and continued to lose hair until I was 14.5. My hair has stabilized since then, and I haven't lost any more (I'm 18 now). I used topical minoxidil on and off for a few years, but I was inconsistent with it any only applied it once every few days since it was a hassle.

Eventually, I hopped on 2.5 mg oral minoxidil (my derm wouldn't prescribe me 5mg or fin) and so I used it for 6 months, but didn't notice any changes tbh. I was then bumped up to 5mg minoxidil and was prescribed the finasteride aswell, which I've been using both for around 4 months now.

I do think I'm growing baby hairs on my scalp, but I'm not sure if they're terminal or if they're even there jfl.

But yeah, idk if I should wait longer on fin, or switch to dut

honestly. try dut. if it works it'll work faster and sides are more common than fin but still rare and you can always switch off it.
I never even tried fin i wanted the fastest acting one first.

the results you were getting might've been legitimate anyways
