My ingrown toenail is so bad

I’m gonna have to try removing it again, but the last few times I haven’t had much success

It’s expensive to get part of the nail removed and it sometimes comes back. But it keeps coming back ingrown when I remove just a little bit myself

Didn’t look bad cos it’s ingrown at like the base
Just red and slightly swollen
I tried removing it without much success, so I hope it’s not infected now lol
