I am a 40 year old man who has never held a full time job, Autistic, and lives at home with 85 year old father. I'm on SSI because I have chronic lyme disease, obesity, and my music career tanked 5 years ago. The only job I have is dancing around as a cow at Chick-Fil-A. I don't think any woman at any age would be intersted in that, regardless of how I look. I chased around a fantasy of becoming a successful Country music singer and the furthest I ever got was an invite to sing at a Polo match. I made a few records on vanity label, but it's a joke because I can't keep up with the times. Baby Boomers would find my music antiquated.

I'm back in community college where I'll try to hammer out an Associate's degree, and if I'm lucky move on to divinity school. But I probably will never be able to have a wife or children because I can't support myself! Whenever you feel down about yourself, just remember there is someone like me. Don't let this happen to you!

but in terms of a wife and family I agree that is starting to seem like an impossibility at this point or at least very difficult to achieve, I think 30s to 40s isn't too late to have a kid as a man but 40s to 50s is pushing it, you would be like 65-70 when your oldest son is 20
