It hurts and it feels weird everytime I try to bend my finger. Didn't go BJJ or wrestling today cuz of it. Can't even lift weights too. Fucking brutal

Sorry to hear that, hope you feel better soon. I suggest you apply ice on the finger or immerse it in cold water. Don't let the ice touch the skin, instead put it in a cloth or towel. It hurts and it feels weird everytime I try to bend my finger. Didn't go BJJ or wrestling today cuz of it. how long will it take to heal? Also should I tape my finger so it is straight again?Sorry to hear that, hope you feel better soon. I suggest you apply ice on the finger or immerse it in cold water. Don't let the ice touch the skin, instead put it in a cloth or towel.
Ah shit, actually going to MMA can also help to avoid some injuries, before I went to MMA i broke my hand because of a punch i threw (you know, the bone near the little finger that's usually caused duo punching wrong )@Niko my fellow MMAcel, this is why gi BJJ is gay
I can't make a fist atm, because it feels like my finger is sort of jammed jfl. I normally just get finger or toe injuries from the gi/mats. When I don't fight in gi, I get 0 injuries.Ah shit, actually going to MMA can also help to avoid some injuries, before I went to MMA i broke my hand because of a punch i threw (you know, the bone near the little finger that's usually caused duo punching wrong )
I'd give it a few days. I suggest you tape your finger to straighten it, yes.how long will it take to heal? Also should I tape my finger so it is straight again?

Oh yeah, ground work exposes you to plenty of injuries tbhI can't make a fist atm, because it feels like my finger is sort of jammed jfl. I normally just get finger or toe injuries from the gi/mats. When I don't fight in gi, I get 0 injuries.
I went to MMA gym before and was playing from bottom. Got punched in the face so much, my face had cuts all over it too.Oh yeah, ground work exposes you to plenty of injuries tbh
My worst experience was probably near the beginning of my MMA times when I just started on the adult team (i was 17 at the time), one fat fuck (approximately 90-95kg dude) i tried to take down landed on my ancle, i was a small kid so it was quite badly injured, i then had to bike home 35 minutes away with a swollen footI went to MMA gym before and was playing from bottom. Brutal man, 90-95kg dudes are a pain in the ass for me. I'm only 58kg lol. Fucking hell was the big guy a newbie or something too?My worst experience was probably near the beginning of my MMA times when I just started on the adult team (i was 17 at the time), one fat fuck (approximately 90-95kg dude) i tried to take down landed on my ancle, i was a small kid so it was quite badly injured, i then had to bike home 35 minutes away with a swollen foot
It was just a regular intermediate adult team, my guess is that he just transferred from the beginners team as he didn't seem to have been doing it a lot, i was weighing approximately 70kg at the time, so it wasn't as bad of a weight difference, but still annoying sometimes with the big dudesBrutal man, 90-95kg dudes are a pain in the ass for me. How long did it take you to transfer from beginner to intermediate? When I went to beginner MMA, I was subbing everyone my size and everyone 10kg above me. It's only when I was with 75kg guys I found it hard, couldn't sub them, but I was on top and had control over them. Idk any striking though hence I went to beginner MMA classIt was just a regular intermediate adult team, my guess is that he just transferred from the beginners team as he didn't seem to have been doing it a lot, i was weighing approximately 70kg at the time, so it wasn't as bad of a weight difference, but still annoying sometimes with the big dudes
I immediately started out on the intermediate MMA team as I did Muay Thai beforehand, and the guys >18 or on the beginner team weren't doing sparring, so the trainer recommended me to start on intermediate. Also they have a system where you can book different MMA sports separately so I also started on BJJ beginners at the timeHow long did it take you to transfer from beginner to intermediate? Oh right, the place I went to, they basically were like to me, yeah just come MMA beginners cuz idk anything about ground and pound tactics lol. Level of BJJ there wasn't the best tbh. The most experienced student was being pendulum swept by me, and was being spazzy and holding onto guilotines even when I was in the wrong place - basically gassing his arms for no reason.I immediately started out on the intermediate MMA team as I did Muay Thai beforehand, and the guys >18 or on the beginner team weren't doing sparring, so the trainer recommended me to start on intermediate.
