I would say slowly to build up yourself is make normal eye contact. You don't need to like hold it intensely in a non-natural way. Like when you walk pass another, it's normal to do so.

I do it because I have to pass those boring lectures to eventually do the lectures I like. For example, I have to pass math, which I find boring, to be able to go to lectures like engine engineering in later semesters. Different lectures later on require you to pass some other lectures before those etc.

Not if ur tall or GL. Also there's a difference in being an outcast, and being alone by choice, people can sense the difference. School shooter keeps his head down, doesn't hold eye contact, doesn't say hi.
