I overheard my mom telling my sister that she has a friend and her friends grandson has autism. He is still a baby, but I thought about the life of suffering that awaits him as he gets older. Autism is an SMV death sentence if you're a straight male. The only way he can hope to have a fulfilling love life and social life is if he turns out to be gay. But odds are, he will be straight and as a straight male with autism, it's over. And he's black too. And being a black man, you must be NT. So he's going to grow up to be a black man with autism. God is cruel.

I hated to hear that because I know life is going to be much harder for him than it otherwise would have been. I used to believe in a loving God at one time. But I no longer believe that there is a deity that loves everyone. How can you say that God loves him when God cursed him with autism through no fault of his own.

True, nature itself is a god of its own, though many children with autism are a result of older parents (more specifically older mothers). Your argument and free will not being real pushed me towards disbelief but I still believe in religion for peace of mind and for a more orderly society.
