Gliatilin (choline alfoscerate) has a complex effect on the brain, improving its functions and protecting nerve cells from damage. The main mechanisms of its action and effects on the brain include:

---

### 1. **Improvement of acetylcholine synthesis**
- Gliatilin is a precursor of acetylcholine, one of the key neurotransmitters responsible for the transmission of nerve impulses in the brain.
- Acetylcholine plays an important role in learning, memory, attention, and cognitive functions.
- When there is a lack of acetylcholine (for example, in Alzheimer's disease or age-related changes), Gliatiline helps restore its level, improving brain function.

---

### 2. **Improvement of cerebral circulation**
- Gliatilin helps improve blood microcirculation in the brain, which ensures a better supply of oxygen and nutrients to cells.
- This is especially important in ischemic lesions (for example, after a stroke) or in chronic disorders of cerebral circulation.

---

### 3. **Protection of nerve cells (neuroprotection)**
- The drug protects neurons from damage caused by lack of oxygen, toxins or age-related changes.
- It stabilizes the membranes of nerve cells, preventing their destruction and death.

---

### 4. **Restoring damaged nerve connections**
- Gliatilin stimulates the regeneration of nerve cells and the restoration of synaptic connections between them.
- This is especially important after traumatic brain injuries, strokes or neurodegenerative diseases.

---

### 5. **Improvement of cognitive functions**
- Gliatilin has a positive effect on memory, attention, concentration and learning ability.
- It helps to reduce the manifestations of cognitive impairment in dementia, Alzheimer's disease or other neurological disorders.

---

### 6. **Stimulation of metabolism in the brain**
- The drug activates metabolic processes in nerve cells, improving their energy balance and functional activity.
- This contributes to more efficient brain function, even under conditions of increased stress or strain.

---

### 7. **Reduction of neurological symptoms**
- Gliatiline helps to reduce symptoms such as dizziness, tinnitus, headaches and weakness, which may be associated with a malfunction of the nervous system.

---

### Indications for use:
- Stroke and its consequences.
- Traumatic brain injuries.
- Dementia (including Alzheimer's disease).
- Age-related cognitive impairment.
- Chronic disorders of cerebral circulation.
- Neurological disorders accompanied by decreased memory and attention.

---

## Important:
Gliatilin acts gradually, and its effect becomes noticeable some time after the start of the course of treatment. The drug is usually well tolerated, but before use it is necessary to consult a doctor to select the correct dosage and duration of the course.

Thus, Gliatilin has a multifaceted positive effect on the brain, improving its functions and protecting it from damage.
