I am part Goan and he's very famous there. He looks very indian imo
He is a Benfica fan, my football club . Most of the Portuguese liked him as politician but he is very controversial

he is from the socialist party in Portugal. PM here for 8 years.
European hard left seems to be social democrat aka centre left. Nothing like seizing the means of production but more radical capitalism.

True. He is a socialist but he just “dominated capitalism” here. Probably is gonna do the same in EU.

If he ran for Portuguese president tomorrow, he would probably win.

Its unlikely that he will run in 2025 (presidential elections) because he is now president of the European Commission.

But if the far right continues to grow in Portugal (and in the rest of Europe), he could run in 2030 to stop this from happening and unite the majority of the Portuguese left (he would probably win and everybody knows this).

He can't run for prime minister again in 2027 because he has already won 3 elections.
