their business has work worth $150/hr scheduled out for the next 6 weeks because of warm weather.
my dad won't take a leave of absence from his $11/hr driving job (probably because he think it's immoral and he won't be able to find another job like that when they replace him).
so instead of meeting the demand worth $150/hr in quicker fashion (and possibly getting more clients because of it)...he's just gonna work 7 days a week (50% at $11/hr driving job, 50% doing self employed business) for the next 2 months.

they're lucky to be in an unsaturated industry where they can get away with being stupid like that.
they could hire a qualified part time housekeeper cook for $15-18/hr to reinvest even more time in the business.
they could hire a qualified temporary part time employee for $19-21/hr to be able to scale even more.

At first I was gonna say you're a spoiled brat. But after reading this I see you're absolutely right. Your father's being retarded. Ain't no sense in living to work. Time is infinitely more valuable than money.

I don't benefit from the money of this business. I pay to live here. Not much but still I pay to live here. I'm on my own financially except for housing.

in the future, when you are out on your own. You can show your parents, how it should be done. and mogg them. They should be happy, when you mogg them.

Refusing to scale is the difference between middle class and being rich.

Yeah I could but I already work. I'm pretty sure they'd pay me more than my current job. But at the same time they know I'd need training and that I'm not qualified to be doing this shit right off the bat.
But yeah that's a good observation. The door is open if I wanna get involved.

I know that if I get hurt or anything that they'd look after me n shit (cuz I'm on their healthcare plan).

But you already said that objectively it would be better to work with them since they'd pay you more and you'd get overall more benefits

Aren't you a bit hypocrite with your parents?
