my pc is working fine but my monitor isn't receiving power

I have a crappy nvision monitor and it was working just fine last night, when I came to turn it on it wouldnt and there was no power

it might be the cable connecting it to my power adapter but I'm not sure

can techcels think of a reason why this is happening?

my monitor is connected to the pc with the linking wire

and the power cable is connected to the power adapter which is connected to the wall

could be something with the ports or a conector to the monitor, ivehad that happen i just had to take it out and clean the inside of the port with a q-tip there was a lot of like dust in there

I'll try to clean it up with a q tip and try to open up my monitor

nah the HDMI is fine I checked, it's purely a power issue because there was no light indicating it doesn't have power

get more power, buy those lightning cables with a backup battery thingy for more power
