Why Should you eat Seitan and Tofu/Soy if you are not vegan?
Seitan is a food which consists of isolated flour protein, this dish can be made at home by washing for 10 minutes a flour dough: carbos go away while proteins remain in the dough. Strong Flours (high protein) flours like Manitoba Flour must be used in this process.
Soy and Lupin beans are the legumes with the best protein-calories ratio: a portion of soy or Lupin beans provides 40 grams of protein and just 400 calories.
Tofu is a food produces from Soy and it keeps the same nutritional value of this legumes
As you probably know vegan protein sources are known to provide an incomplete essential amino acid content, but maybe you did not know amino acid from legumes and wheat can compensate each other so it's possible to gain all amino acids by combining wheat and legume protein in the same meal.
In fact Seitan lacks the amino acid Lysine but is rich in Methionine, on the other hand Legumes lack Methionine but are rich in Lysine.
Vegan protein sources are way cheaper than meat and are also eco-friendly since natural resources to produce plants are few
But Soy is full of Fitoestrogen, I am not going to eat that jew shit
Scientific studies have prove you cannot get estrogen side effect of soy unless you eat humongous amounts of soy, however if you are still afraid you may look into Lupin beans (also known as white lupins). This legume contains as much protein as Soy, while not having fitoestrogen.
This legumes is usually sold in salt water, because dried beans need to stay 1 week in salt water to become heathy and edible
Why did I choose Whole Rice and Potatoes to gain carbos?
Because they are the only food able to suppress my humongous appetite
