Ok, I'm nearly 28 and my goal is to achieve maxilla and mandible growth. If my browridge comes forward and nose slims down then that's an added bonus.

I'm thinking of purchasing upper and lower palatal expanders from www.bracesshop.com -

To maximise results, I'm thinking of combining this with the Forwardontics Bow -

And I'm considering also using AcceleDent to speed up the process -

This, obviously, is without an orthodontist.

Is this crazy? Or could this work?

mse is better expands entire palate by like 10mm

So something more like this?...

My point is, is this safe to do without an orthodontist?

No it's not.You have a tooth pulling device your occlusion will get fucked up and your teeth are gonna look terrible.

As I said on incels.wiki/w/Facepulling , orthodontists have been using maxillary protraction on children for a century

do face pullers ruin front teeth?
any side effects like AGGA appliance

at your age if you use teeth as anchor youre just going to get a forward ridge like AGGA, go get mse and combine with bow if you want transverse + sagittal growth

AGGA only pulls the front of the teeth arch
Facepulling aka maxillary protraction pulls the same area of a Lefort 1

doesn't it pull the whole maxilla
if thats the case Ill just get bimax for the same results

It will not do shit. Just save for surgery.

you don't say?
Lefort 1 does not mean advancing the whole maxilla

Bimax + genio PROs:

> predictable results
> requires 2 hours of surgical procedure
> can fix asymmetries
> can advance the chin

Bimax + genio CONs:

> the price starts from 8K

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Facepulling PROs:

> very cheap, Sandra Kahn BOW + DIY appliance costs 300 dollars

Facepulling CONs:

> very slow. It requires 17 months with a 0.5kg force wearing it for 14 hours a day to achieve a 1.7mm bimaxillary advancement
> unpredictable results
> in order to wear it 14 hours a day, you must renounce to your social life, feel constant pain in your palate and have your mouth always wet in saliva

can someone do mse+msdo to expand face volume
then do face pulling
after that you do bimax+genio
this is my plan so far what do you think?

Lol I bought one of those back in the day, broke it in an accident but while it lasted I got about 5mm expansion and a nice lil bit of zygo width from wearing it at night, as well as mewing+chin tucking during the day.

If you get one remember that the mandible will take far longer to catch up so u gotta either turn it really slow (once or twice a week) or get a lower expander too.

Edit: didn't see that you said you were 28, I might have only gotten my zygo width because of wearing it at 17

if you want to mse expand you also have to do something for the mandible to match upper jaw
like msdo or sfot

Yeah that's true but wasn't aiming for a drastic IMW increase when I was using it tbh, I was a mew coper and bought it so that I had more space for my tongue.

How the fuck do you know if it fits your arch?

after bimax you cannot do MSE because you have screws in your face which would stop any MSE lateral advancement

this is how it works: you do a mold of your teeth yourself or with a dentist and then you ship the mold to them

yeah I know
im talking after I finish expanding with mse I do bimax+genio

I actually need the lower arch expander
Cant do it alone it seems

Ok, so I think the most sensible option would be to have a consultation with my orthodontist after lockdown and go from there.

Seems like the safest option.

In the meantime, I wear Vivera retainers at night, which is normal after wearing Invisalign for 18 months.

What do you guys think of this - now that I've mastered correct tongue posture, chewing and swallowing, shall I cut off the backs of my Vivera's and only wear the front 4-6?

Will this allow expansion via mewing while keeping the front teeth in correct position???
