Step1: All bot channels immediately get tossed. If you are not willing to put your face and voice as the primary focus of the video, then your content is almost always crap. Bonus points if you use your name for the channel name. 95% of the time I can tell just from the thumbnail if it is a bot channel.
Step2: All videos that 'news channels' post get tossed. Just idiots reading off a teleprompter words written by other idiots, or shallow prosaic interviews. And all clip channels get tossed, those that just take clips of well known people being interviewed and repost with so provocative title.
Step3: Age and Race filtering. If I am searching for technology content I will filter out older people, if I am searching for health and fitness content (most of my searches) I will filter out younger people. Next I filter by race, obviously I don't want to listen to the opinion of some affirmative action doctor or pharmacist. Unfortunately there are essentially no white people that make how to do 'x' on you iphone/browser/computer so sometimes I am forced to listen to some Indian with a heavy accent.
Step4: Country of Origin. I filter out all people from Australia and New Zealand, because they are mostly mentally ill. I can not explain specifically how I can tell, but I am very good at distinguishing those with acceptable English accents (UK, Europe) from those with unacceptable accents, but I still check the Country of origin status just to make sure. Curiously I come across like zero people with a Canadian accent, I suspect all Canadians that want to be content creators move to the US.
Step5: If possible I will eliminate shorts and very old videos. But will reluctantly watch shorts or very old videos if no other content makes it through the first 4 filters.
