Race isn’t everything, but it’s not nothing. Language, culture, and nations are downstream from racial collectivism. It’s fair for all people, whether they be Asian, White, Black, Middle Eastern, Latino, to be proud of their heritage, culture, and their people. Race is a part of one’s identity.
We can notice patterns, but we should still seek to treat people as individuals. Why should a good samaritan of a race, have to be the representative for the bad apples of said group?
Lastly, I think all people should have some sort of in-group-preference. In a way, it’s like an extension of your family. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t appreciate other parts of people’s culture, or have friends of different races. Wanting the best for your people, doesn’t mean that you want to harm other groups.
