So at age 12 i started orthodontics. My ortho gave me a herbst for like a year ( which kept breaking and sometimes it took weeks even up to a month to get it fixed) then at age 13 i had elastics aswell with braces which i didnt wear almost at all. And then he proceeded with 2 upper premolar extractions when i was like 14. Now at age 16 im not sure if it fucked me over but i feel like it did after reading all of these stories online about how teeth extractions for braces "ruined" their looks. I just think about everytime what if i had just been more careful with the herbst and getting it repaired quickly instead of not telling my parents cuz it felt uncomfortable, and after not wearing elastics cuz i heard that it "recess" u by some dumbass. I cant get this out of my head and i feel i could look much better if my treatment went correctly and i wasnt a dumbass 12 kid at that time. I had a pretty large overjet so yeah im not sure if it fucked me over and im not sure if its even reversible. I need some help with my situation
