My teachers get awkward/stutter when I look up at the board

Everytime I simply just look up at the board to copy notes my teacher immediately acts awkward and/or stutters if she's speaking. Even if I'm looking down, when she's talking to someone in my general area she acts awkward. I have more teachers that do this shit too. There are two other teachers that force themselves to say hi to me everyday out of pity, like they have a fucking gun to their heads. Volcel if your teachers aren't literally afraid of your presence. Anybody else experince this?
