My theory on how modern society can function

For a society to succesfully function you need to have a replacement rate reproduction rate and a large young population to push innovation and economic developement.

They way to achieve this in my opinion is by returning to a high level of collectivism in societal collectivism. People should be living in the same houses as their parents and even grandparents. Parents should work while grandparents take care of young kids. People should rely on their families, not on the state. People should marry young and still live with their parents. Arranged marriages should make a comeback as well. The concept of shame and honor should be the most important value taught to young children. Pointless gender roles should also be eliminated.

For modern society to survive the economic and social stresses of the modern world people need to be able to rely on each other. We need practical and honorable ways to control marriage, not this disgusting farce that is modern dating. The age of "individualism" is over. Trying to build societies bases off this outdated concept will lead to ruin.

society needs hierarchies to function. Hierarchies based off of compassion, mutual benefit and competence. Eat or be eaten is the law of the jungle but cooperation is the law of society.

Marriage should be seen as a gift, not something that is forced upon you. In the future, consent of the participants would obviously also play a large part. To be fair, modern dating based on "love" has made 80% of people utterly and absolutely miserable.
