What is nasal width?
The nasal width is the distance between the two most lateral points on the rim of the nasal opening
Nasal width ratios
1. Ideal nasal width-to-lip ratio is 1:1.5
2. Ideal nasal width-to-height ratio 1:1.618
Non-surgical fixes
Makeup can give the illusion of a smaller nasal width, this can be achieved by using concealer, highlight, and contour. This is a common trick used by women and is often used on other areas such as cheekbones, the jawline, and the forehead.
Minor surgery fixes
An alar base cinch suture uses a suture to pull together the nostril causing the nasal width to be decreased. Unfortunately, the stability isn't as great as other options and can have limited results. Costs about $1000 but you could also do this yourself as it’s relatively simple.

Nostril reconstruction surgery $4000-7000
Rhinoplasty $4,000-7,000
