I’m probaly going to get a haircut and could use some advice. I have a slightly longer, rectangular face with a decent jawline, a bit of a pointy chin, and my hair is pretty thin and straight (type 1a). Any style suggestions that would suit me?
I am thinking a shorter haircut because right now my hair is like 4 inches or so on top and I really do not have many options how to style it, I don't usually get tapers, and I cut the back and sides shorter than the top, I cut the sides so they aren't touching my ears. If I don't do shit to my hair and shampoo+conditioner in the shower it actually gets so flat and no body or anything at all to it. That is why I don't shampoo+conditioner everyday, so it atleast has some texture.

I really just do not know what to do, and when I do my hair I usually just use clay/powder and try to get some like wave in it and texture I guess.
I'm 16 and Idk I feel like I should get a bit of a more put together/"mature" haircut also.

also i have been called "mason 67" for my current hair which makes 0 sense because it is nothing like that, idk what people want anymore.

Used to be in the same situation as u, easy fix is to shampoo less often. Shampooing in summary strips ur hair of excess + natural oils. The build up of these (atleast to my experience, as I have 1a hair also) gives more control of how you style ur hair. Personally, even though this may not be good, I don’t shampoo my hair for 2-3 weeks until doing so on the weekend so no one sees me with my truecel flat hair. After that just add clay into ur hair and u should be good 👍

Just don’t have an ice cream cut, have a normal looking messy fringe with a taper.
