I’ve seen all the long threads on here for lucid dreaming and whenever I try to do it, it takes so long and never works. I can stay focused, I feel my body shutting off and I can sense other aspects like not feeling your fingers but how do I actually get into the dreaming state? I imagine what I want the dream to be but it doesn’t come into fruition. All I see is darkness.Help is much appreciated. My sleep position when attempting is lying on my back, facing upwards to the ceiling.one thin pillow used.

dont sleep for three days straight, your brain will be tired enough when you get to bed, kinda in a 'knocked out' state. sleep in a dark area with little to no light, pitch black ideally with a fan on that's canceling out all that background noise. your brain will be so drained and overstimulated it'll start being 'out the zone.' you'll enter in a half awake, half dead state. that's the sweet spot, enjoy the ride
