Been dealing with pretty severe acne scars when I was 18, I'm now 20 and still have acne / acne scars, I just got out of a pretty terrible relationship and I'm looking to fix my acne scars as I've always been getting comments on them. I wanted to book an appointment with a dermatologist but the wait is a bout a year and I'm not trying to wait that long, its also very pricy were I live.

Any tips? I've looked at GHK-CU and I have something called epi-duo that I've tried but it hasn't worked really..

Any help would be greatly appreciated and pictures of my scars are in the thread

The best way to get rid of acne scars are TCA chemical peels since they are cheap, highly effective, and they can be done at home. There are different types of peels. TCA is the one you want to use. Considering the benefits and low risks(despite the bad things people say about them) I’m surprised more people don’t use them. Steps:

1. Get Fade Bright, cleanser, and a sample bottle of 30% TCA peel from Platinum Skincare(cleanser comes for free with the bottle)

2. Apply one pump of Fade Bright to your skin 2x a day for a month. This is necessary to prevent hyperpigmentation since you have a dark skin tone.

3. Wash your face with the cleanser, soak a cotton pad with 95% rubbing alcohol and wipe your whole face with it.

4. Pour one teaspoon of the TCA and 2 teaspoons of water into a container and mix to dilute the TCA to 15%. Wear latex gloves and dampen(don’t soak) a gauze pad with the 15% TCA peel.

5. Wipe your face with it. One layer is all you need.

6. Wait for 4 weeks. If everything turned out good do another peel. Rinse and repeat while increasing the strength and layers.

Judging from your pics, you’re guaranteed to see a 10-20% improvement from just one 15% TCA peel. But you should be safe even if you do multiple peels. Don’t listen to any bad stories you hear on the internet. 90% of people improve from chemical peels. And don’t bother reading the lengthy guide on the Platinum skincare site or doing additional research. Everything you need to know is here. You will waste a lot of time for nothing. Trust me!

I guarantee you’ll see at least a 50% improvement and no downsides. Many people I know including myself have done multiple peels without any problems. I used to have severe acne scarring and have achieved nearly perfect skin mainly with chemical peels alone.
