My maxilla is ok but I need my lower jaw forward about 5mm to fix my overbite

Do I need bimax or is just BSSO fine?

I think u are reffering to overjet not overbite.

it depends on the severity post a picture

I have both, overjet can be fixed with braces

Deep bite is the correct term I think
Overjet means ur mandible is recessed and overbite means u lack tall mandible.
Overjet cases are where the maxilla is too forward grown and mandible didn t catch the growth so braces will retrude the alveola back to match the lower alveola.
I have deep bite tho and the best surgery is BSSO.

u can pm me ur face with blurred eyes or just the side profile and i can see better what u need
I ve seen alot of deep bite cases where it s just dental not skeletal and their jaws were both forward grown.

It barely matters because both surgeries have the same costs and recovery times.

Are you getting an expander first?

Expanders make the mouth a bit wider right?

You need a consultation with an oral surgeon, nobody here can authoritatively tell you.
