Need to cycle to "work" for the first time

I have new part time wagecucking, but next week I am working full time as the induction shit.

Anyway, I need to cycle there (40 mins each way) as I don't have a car. I last cycled years ago tho and am scared to cycle on roads. Most of the journey is along the canal, which isn't lit up when it's dark.

Hopefully when I'm coming back it won't be too dark. Although in winter I'll likely have to cycle back in the dark, along a canal. That's kinda scary tbh

Tbh a cycle commute is a good thing, driving a car is literally paying money (gas) to waste your time sitting on your ass. At least cycling is free and will improve your cardio.
