It is ropefuel for me almost every day.

Walking next to high schools, then university and then business buildings. You see the joy of life gradually fade away for the vast majority. You also see how inferior older used up foids are and you will/ have only access to them, which makes any improvements you make pointless.

And even if you had a good life before that, you will see younger people and get reminded of what is forever impossible to experience again, with no comparable alternative in the adult world.
