I see so many people here giving cheekbones such a big importance it baffles me.
Barely no one irl has good defined cheekbones. Sure, when they do it’s definitely a halo such as in Richard Ramirez’s case.
But when they don’t it’s not something that is perceived as negative in any way even on a subconscious level. Not having visible cheekbones is just the standard, so I guess it’s an exaggeration to call them “recessed zygos”. It’s just not more prominent than normal but they aren’t any more recessed than most people have it.
