I used to think that playing games and manipulating people, especially in love, were kind of cute and fun. To me, it was like having control & easier or somehow feasible to achieve anything of what I wanted. Honestly though Jst was wrong. Discovery dawned when I found out that manipulation of people doesn't help develop genuine and meaningful ties rather it only brings about shallow instances based on various lies and half-truths. The worst part is that manipulation, while superficially effective, just leaves you empty because you don't feel you are being true to yourself or to them. Genuine relationships friends, family, partners are built on trust, respect, and honesty, not manipulation. Being yourself, letting life happen naturally, and just going with it is so much more rewarding than trying to control any situation. Manipulation is an illusion, a shortcut, and you will only end up more disconnected. So, yeah, I learned the hard way that there is really no point in trying to control others the most important thing is being real.
