Its in bones, measured from a ct scan. So its impossible to measure without a ct. And yes i have a ct myself and i thought i measured right without it, i was horribly off. You cant measure bone thru skin.

Wrong, this one he showed is still measured from the outside but slightly pressed against the gonion.
From raw skulls or ct´s the average is even slightly lower.
People forget, that the soft tissue adds a lot of extra volume.

my bizygomatic width is 13.5
It’s interesting how jaw measurements among users vary depending on whether you account for just bone or include soft tissue. If your jawbone is over 14 cm, you’d definitely look like an abomination, especially if your bizygomatic breath is measured from the outside.

In Indian studies, the averag bigonial breadth from dry skulls is around 9.3 -9.7cm with a standard deviation of 5-6. A French study on Europeans reported an average of 9.9cm with a similar standard deviation of 6.

It’s strange that many here report literal top-percentile jaw widths, even with soft tissue included, where the average falls closer to 12cm. The extra masseter/ soft tissue volume could easily add up to 0,5-1cm per side at least, so something doesn’t add up.

So all these guys here complaining about their narrow jaws can really just shut up- I am yet to see someone here with an actual narrow jaw like me.
Despite my family having broad jaws, my mandible measures barely 9cm lmao, likely due to my premature birth (2% percentile for size at birth) and resulting in severe mandibular hypoplasia. You can clearly observe it in the pictures, but of course my clueless parents did not give a shit back then.
My head breadth is 16.5cm, with 15.2cm bizygomatic breath. With masseter training, I managed to at least look somewhat normal.

turns out i measured wrong. its 12.5cm, i have flared gonions and tall ramus and my bizygomatic is 13.5 cm which makes me ideal and alot of people complement my jaw line. my vision is slighly poor sometimes and my autistic ass thought 12 was 15

Even that is crazy wide like - your jaw should be significantly wider than your cheekbones, when including soft tissue. Did you roid or use hgh during development?

its genes i didnt roid. and no jaw shouldnt be wider as cheekbones. ideal is jaw width is 85%-92% of bizygomatic width. all chads usually have this ratio

But how? The masseter and soft tissue should add significant extra width and volume to the jaw. And since I assume you measured the cheekbones from the outside, 13.5 cm is relatively narrow.

considering that, your jaw should easily surpass that measurement or at least be a 1:1 ratio.

soft tissue and masseter whether i have it or not in quantities is included in measurement of jaw width. u can still fit the ratio with masseter included its luck the reason u think that masseter usually makes jaw wider than zygos is because most peoples lateral bizygomatic projection is shitt thats why it appears that their masseter is beyond zygos width.

I have small masseters as them being too over developed looks mins me slighly filling in the edge of my hollow on my jaw by a mm. this is a choice I make.

calculator puts my percentage of jaw with to 92.59%, thats probably why people compliment it as its on high end of ideal range making it striking. most people need wider zygos not jaws . zygos improve eye area and fwhr which is good for attractiveness and dimorphism.
