How can you get respect irl?
first, dont be a jester and dont be too loud
but im just really tall and well built so in my case it's enough
and dont be average at everything

Martial arts or any other respected/known sport in your country or be popular via social media
I’ve started thinking about mma

In a group setting, whenever i speak or have an opinion, people dont even acknowledge it.

I just learn to keep quiet and only talk when someone talks to me or asks for my opinion first

I find I get a good amount of respect from first interactions or with people I don’t know that well; this is probably just because I’m pretty tall and have a passable amount of muscle mass.

Something I do find is that when I get closer with people and talk more, the respect dwindles (still a fair amount, but less). I’d say it maintains best when I don’t talk much and only speak when prompted, acting like a so called “extrovert” is a one way ticket to having less respect. I guess words just carry more weight when they aren’t said as frequently.

waste of time. people respect a large physical presence, from a perspective of both getting respect and avoiding disrespect it’s far better to look threatening (gymcelling and roiding) than actually being threatening (learning to fight)

Fighting is fun. I was in bjj and it was pretty fun.

That’ll make it harder to get respect straight off the bat then, I’m sure there are other ways to gain respect. I think not fidgeting or carrying yourself in an overly closed off way are important (you may not even do this tho).

But yh physical stature is probably the easiest way to get people to respect you, and there’s not much to do about it without frauding (which you’ll obviously already know)

males from my old school all call me gay for looking feminine and wearing baggy clothes

sure, just know that it won’t get you any respect
I know. It would also make you more capable for dangerous situations because people here are really violent

I get respect due to my physical stats and from people lower smv than me
