Ik that this is kinda a rant and nobody asked for this but ever since I can remember I was terrible at everything physical. I was terrible in soccer in first grade and tried it again in 4th but i couldn't improve. I tried basketball in 5th grade and even though I was a couple inches taller than everyone I was still terribly unathletic so I didn't even make a single point the whole season. I started calisthenics in my room and was able to do 20 pushups (with bad form) and lost all my progress because I was lazy and didn't workout for a while. I did cross country because I was forced to do a sport and was bad at everything else and just told my parents I wasn't interested. In 7th grade I did wrestling and didn't win a single match. When 8th grade rolled around I did football instead of cross country and didn't get a single pass the whole game. I also remember getting trucked by this popular kid and got so many disappointed looks. By this time I found out about looksmaxing. (I knew about it in 7th grade but I was blue pilled and didn't care) I was doing thumb pulling and zygo pulling, JFL 💀and then I started to bonesmash but never got results because I believed everything I saw online. Any ways I tried wrestling again in 8th grade and won 1 match. Is also took a weight lifting class in school and got called weak so many times by people. They would always say "you need work on your bench" or "you need to get stronger." Every time we would do speed drills I would always get pointed out for being slow and unathletic. I'm a freshman in highschool now so just thinking back on it is painful. But I still get called out for not being as strong as them even though I was skinny fat my whole life with periods that I would become fat (I am in better control of my weight now) this is so brutal and am wondering if anyone else is like this.

Note: I am 6ft 2in at 14 but that is my only physical attribute that is worth anything.

I'm complaining because my height, my best attribute doesnt do jack shit to how I play in sports. You'd expect me to be good at basketball but I'm probably the worst guy to ever touch a basketball

Who tf cares about sports, just go and enjoy life

I am forced to play sports because my parents say the gym isn't enough
Smart parents , you probably lack sports IQ and have poor decision making that's why your shit at sports or your motor neurons and reflexes are just horrible I believe it's the first

Bro we have the same experience I was always bad at sports. I’m around 6’0 and 205 and arguably still skinny fat

Elementary school I did tennis, basketball and soccer and was ass at all of them

Freshman year I did wrestling and went 0-17. I had one of the lowest prs in track for shotput/discus. I have been playing football since 8th grade but I’m still third string

The last jv game I didnt get in, but at least coach told me 5 times to stand next to him. He didn’t do that with the freshman and one sophomore. In the freshman team last year for football I was hot ass so when the starter got in they put me in for a quarter then switched people around positions to keep me and the injured guy out. At least now I don’t let up sacks all the time (play oline)

I’ve been getting some progress. People don’t hate on my bench anymore but they still call my squat and clean weak. I got my bench up to 255 but my squat is barely 3 plates

Only thing that matters is having that d1 label if you have college scholarships all over your social medias

athletic performance is heavily influenced by genetics and body type - your progress will vary based on what you were predisposed to improve upon given your circumstances. some people might gain muscle faster while others excel at cardio. consistency in training plus proper diet and rest all play into the equation.

I've been training consistently in the gym for 3 months and am trying to stop eating processed bs and have been sleeping at least 8 hours for a couple weeks now.

I feel like it could be a mix of both because my reaction time is so ass, I was boxing my friend cuz he had boxing gloves and headgear and I saw the punch come but I didn't move until it's too late. I think about it like it's some game instead of a fight and I am trying to get more serious about it but then again my passion for sports is almost non existent
