just go get diagnosed, it worked exactly like this for me too. It removed my constant self doubt and inhibitions, and just a lot of general weirdness. Now when I'm on meds I'm social i'm quick-witted, i smile, i don't act weird, I have real normal emotions when people tell me stuff. Its honestly incredible I feel so normal now on meds. Time also moves much, much, much more slowly. I almost never run out of time on tests now, I get much more done in an hour. I look back at my week and its not a blur, it actually feels like I've lived the time that has passed. This is probably a mix of better memory encoding and increased cognitive speed on stimulants.

I take vyvanse, incredibly incredibly small dose (10mg is enough for me to feel this way unless I build a tolerance from taking more or smth in days previous). I take days off when I don't have anything to do or important social plans so I can keep my dose low.

Main adverse effects have been dehydration and eczema flareups, as well as everything bouncing back to shit for a few days when I stop, since the body gets used to higher levels of norepinephrine and dopamine.

Ofc focusing and being productive is a lot easier too, I had a ~1 week honeymoon phase when I first started where I became so fucking productive and lost any appetite for time-wasters like league or social media, that quickly waned but even now its still way easier to be productive and properly regulate relaxation/productivity with the vyvanse.

I am 21 almost 22 though, and only started last year. If you're a lot younger it may seriously fuck up your brain or something, I think it probably helps that I went through most of my life relying mostly on willpower and mental tricks to get out of bed and do stuff.
