Normies aren't obsessed with anything. That is their issue. They would rather have hobbies they think about for 10 minutes every week so they can tell people they are super into it and larp. Some obsessions aren't great, the autistic dudes, politics bros, guys who are actually anime and video game lovers before it was colonised by normies and chicks, dudes who study all day, etc aren't exactly popular. And most dudes who are obsessed with something are socially neutral, like gym dudes and similar, will be a decent dude but not popular and when they are its not in the same way as a normie. A dude who is obsessed with the gym being popular is that he is admired and respected, a normie being popular means he is a bit of a joke. Some can be popular, like guys who are obsessed with an instrument, but it won't be always. The main thing, as we all know, that differentiates any of these people from loved or not is whether they look good, any oddity becomes a cute quirk. Nobody wants to hear somebody who knows nothing pretending to know everything.
