If you mention dresden or all the cities sherman burned during his terror campaign they'll give hundreds of reasons why they're justified or not warcrimes. Warcrimes are only for the side they don't like

Most don’t care. They’re not war crimes if you win.

The concept of “war crimes” is a totally confected one.

In international law, it’s just in used as a cudgel to legitimize the winners and delegitimize the losers of a conflict.

Note: that does not mean that morally speaking, atrocities have not been committed.

I see no point in believing there are „war crimes“ there are no war crimes, war is war,
killing is killing whether done for duty, profit or fun

Atrocities will always happen in a war. Normies find it hard to grasp that

Yes. It’s mainly a political vehicle for the winners to legitimize their victory and ascribe blame to losers.

For example, Nuremberg trials were show trials but they did establish clear culpability on select Nazi higher-ups and avoided the disastrous collective war guilt clause imposed on the Germans after WW1.

The belief that their are atrocities in war crimes likely comes from Christian morality, and it's funny because then normies will call the crusades evil
