I think as men we have a tendency to moralize things that don't need to be moralized.
Like getting in shape. How many times have you seen instagram reels of making weight loss out to be this exercise in suffering where you have to get up at 5 am, eat salads, go on cold showers, etc.
Why get up at 5am? what's special about 5am? does anything especially good happen at 5am that wouldn't happen if you get up at a normal time? no.
In reality, you just need to a small calorie deficit over a period of time, and you lose weight and get leaner. Simple. You don't need to be some martyr bearing a cross to suffer to get results like normies believe.
Even when I got muscular, I had people ask me "how often do you go gym", I think they're expecting me to say something hardcore sounding like "7 days a week, 2 hours a day bro" instead of 4 days a week of moderate 1 hour workouts, which is far less exciting and doesn't make a good instagram reel, but works really well.
Nofap copers are also guilty of this. The idea that resisting jerking off is going to magically make you a chad with a sharp jaw and abs is once again moralizing getting in shape.
It's all nonsense.
